Summer Life

Lots of this lately.

Mud = Happy Boys

This week is the week.  Moving Date - July 11th!

4th of July

PARADE

Me and Libby

 SWIMMING AND BBQ
(Rex threw up after he got home, too much candy, heat, and chlorine.)

FIREWORKS
James helping Lyle.  I was at home with Rex who wanted nothing to do with fireworks.
He even asked to go to bed.

Happy Hyrum

Memories Before the Move In

Transplanting Pumpkins
Talmage working on his gardening Merit Badge at the same time.

 Lyle watering.

About 185 pumpkins and gourds---all at the new house.  Fingers crossed.

The neighbors let us come pick cherries.  Yum!

Lyle learning how to eat a cherry.

One of Hyrum's favorite treats.

Naps while Mom works.

Last family night before the basement gets sheetrock.

Summer Time

Our Summer 2014 Program
In hopes of strengthening appreciation for American History, getting the kids involved with meal preparation, keeping up on piano, and having lots of summer fun!

Summer haircuts.  (Nice thing about twins, you can do "before and afters" after.)

Working at the house one day, caught this on the back porch.

Lunchtime at Caziers---9 boys, ONE girl.

Picking strawberries with Grandma.

Hawk eggs found in the timothy hay.

Bryant and Hyrum hiking Badger Mountain with me during a RS activity.

Picking raspberries with Dad.

Last Day of School

A bittersweet day to say good-bye to these teachers.
Mrs. Wilkins and Bryant

 Sariah and Mrs. Younger

Sariah and her reading teacher, Miss Heider (one of Grandpa Wells's former students.)

Afterwards, Bryant went to a birthday party and we picked him up and headed to Spechts for swimming, pizza, movie, and a sleepover.  PARTY!

Kittens

Visiting Makaley's kittens.
 Hyrum

 Lyle

Rex

Pleasant Surprise

Found this on my bad after my shower on Sunday morning.
"I thought you might need some help so I did it for u.  Love, Sariah Smack!"
So grateful for a daughter!

Bad Day for James

It was HOT and unlucky as James had to wheelbarrow quickly drying cement from the trailer that got stuck a long ways from the pad he was trying to pour.  Not fun.

One more check on the list of to-dos before occupancy.

Bryant's Arrow of Light

Our last pack night for awhile, Bryant received his Arrow of Light award and advanced into Boy Scouts.  (His board for all his Cub Scout awards is in the background.  He did a nice job on it.) We'll take a break from Cub Scouts for awhile as I've been asked to be the Day Camp Director.  Yikes!

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day itself, we had an extended family project at Dave and Taneil's property (Matsamura's).  A lot of hands and some heavy equipment made for some great progress.  The Sunday night before we tried to help the kids understand the meaning of Memorial Day.

(The painters started on our trim that weekend. Getting closer.)
