A Facelift and the Freedom Rodeo

After 7 years, I decided I finally needed to intentionally decorate our room.  Painted on Monday, shopped with Sariah on Thursday.  The little boys protested the change, but now they want to read stories in there.

It has become blistering hot.  The Primary Activity Day was during the 100+ degree afternoon.

They made the best of it.

Then it was off to the Freedom Rodeo.  The patriotism and feel of the evening was worth the scorch.
Ride 'em boys.

Doesn't get any more American than a small town rodeo at sunset with patriotic music and fireworks.

Fort, Fathers Day, and Fifteenth Year of Pumpkins

While the big kids were away on their high adventures, Rex and Lyle made an epic fort in the living room and slept there a few night.

They finally got to give their clay art projects to James for Father's Day

Special activity in Primary - Cutting the chorister's tie

Happy Father's Day

And great news from Talmage on Father's Day - Felix and his dad and sister went to church with Talmage!

Tuesday, James took the day off (it was our 21st anniversary) and we planted almost 500 pumpkins starts/seeds between our place and 351.  The kids were fantastic.  We had a system, no complaining.  It was a great anniversary.

The next day got a bit muddy during the first watering session.

Start of Summer

Somewhere in here baseball ended.  The boys made some great friends and had a good experience all around.

We're continuing with our Little House on the Prairie stories and Rex and Lyle started summer journals.

First day of the week after graduation, Bryant started his summer concrete job.  Then he and Hyrum went on their high adventure to some lava tube caves and white water rafting.  Sariah went to Silverwood.

Bryant carried Tyler Freeman on his back for over a mile on rough terrain in the caves.

Bryant was in the bathroom at picture time.

June 13th - The Stokes come to Visit!

We don't get Hales company very often so we were super excited that Steve and Becky brought Brandon and came to visit for a few days.

The kids learned some new card games that they loved

We took a hike up Badger Mountain on Flag Day.

Our planting of the flag re-enactment.

We had a beautiful bike ride along the Columbia River.

Thanks Stokes for coming to visit!

June 11&12 - Bryant's Party and Graduation

We had the PERFECT weather for Bryant's graduation party.  We celebrated with Nick Zornes, Payson Hunter Hatch, and Cooper Maughn

Very solid and well-spoken Valedictorian.  Super proud of him.

June 5&6, 2021 - Senior Fest and Seminary Graduation

Senior Fest was a drive thru for Bryant.  We washed the van and Sariah got it all decked out.

We drove through the parking lot and Bryant received all of his cords as well as a scholarship for $1000 that he didn't know he was receiving.  A welcome surprise.

James got to share his first Pasco North Seminary Graduation with Bryant.  It was probably on of the best seminary graduations I have been to.

Sariah and I caught a picture with her seminary teacher (the daughter of my seminary teacher), Sister Hadley.

We are so pleased with the young man Bryant has chosen and worked to become.
