November in a Nutshell

I flew down to Utah for a doctor's appointment with Dr. Lafferty.  I got to visit with Marylan (who gave me a tour of Bradley's house), Mom, Caves, and Rhodes.

I also got to be at the airport to see Aubrey Welty's family welcome her home.

And, I got to meet up with some high school friends.

Got back in time to pick up 60 pizzas from Little Ceasar's for Mesa's Bingo Night and...

...after a couple delays, we got to welcome home Makaley!

While I was away, of course Lizza spoiled the boys.

And we got this year's class pictures of Lyle...

...and Rex.

Both of whom are eager to ring in the season.

Making Christmas ornaments for Bryant's Christmas package.

We had the first official meeting for Junior Miss and Sariah's wheels started turning.

Then there was "twin day."

They even decided to swap shoes so no one could guess.

Rex and Lyle had a great Veteran's Day program with Mrs. Mauia!

Sariah was sick at the end of football season but she had a great time cheerleading and plans to do it next year.

We had more grapes than we could bottle but we got over 150 quarts and I didn't pick a bucket.  The boys were awesome to keep me supplied during the days off for parent/teacher conferences.

We even got berries the last week of November, right up to the first hard frost.

The night we were setting up beds at 351 for Kase and Brielle's visit Sariah got to go to a dance that the BC 1 Ward put on with Jacob Davidson.

One of our chickens laid and egg with and egg in it!

Talmage took Rex and Lyle to the Turkey Trot in BC on Thanksgiving morning.  All of them medaled!

Rex won a pie with a time under 22 minutes.

We had the 8th annual cousin party at 351.

And Talmage opened the first gift of Christmas (a box of homemade soups and stew for the December weeks of finals) before we played a very entertaining game of Telestrations.

Then Talmage worked on his Mandarin homework while Sariah finished her long put-off chemistry essay.

James upgraded the family cell phone to an Iphone 11 (I'm sure someday we will be laughing at that thought) and Sariah is loving the photo features.

Some pretty frigid mornings especially since I am a walker now instead of a jogger.  I used to warm up by mile one, now I just have to add more layers.

Gorgeous Autumn

Rex, Lyle and I have spent several afternoons each week hanging out at Mesa Elementary in the beautiful weather after school until practice or games start.

Playing, reading, and PB & Js.

Tailgate party before Jhett's football game in Connell.
Loading up at Gp's patch.  Luckily we had some help from Caiden too to finish by sundown.

God is good to us.

XC meet in Connell.  Hyrum wasn't pleased with his run.

Another early Saturday morning to go sell pumpkins.

One afternoon in the patch, Hyrum found this unclaimed kitten.  Super cute!

Probably a bit early for it to be away from its moma, so it needs a little extra TLC.

Monday, Sariah was inducted into the CHS National Honor Society.  It was so nice that she was dressed up, prepared and poised.

Not deer in the ditch this time, two very unintelligent recently weaned steers that had wandered far from home.

A very wet football game in Ki-Be, but a cute and persevering cheerleader!

Somebody suggested these two be hired for gender reveals :)

Apple Juicing 2022 included a quick trip and a short visit from Talmage.  We loved his company and his help!

The sun came out just in time for lunch...

...and some football.

Bryant's missionary plaque is up.  It is so rough for him and we feel so helpless but we are so proud of him for his perseverance and dedication.  His missionary scripture, Romans 8:18, is too perfect.
