Mother's Day

James let me sleep late while he made waffles with whip cream and strawberries, then did all the dishes.  Packed the diaper bag, dressed the kids.  Thanks sweetheart.

I wanted to make sure I posted today---I guess because I just love these guys so much and I'm so grateful to be their mother.

Last night, Talmage "working" on his assignment for Deacon's Quorum today.

Lyle and Rex delivering their "teacher appreciation" gifts to their nursery leaders.  (So glad they made it there without getting dumped.  They insisted they should carry them the whole way.)

Still so cute when they are asleep.

This was a heart-warming gift.  Hyrum's prized possession from the dentist and he gave it to me.  (Actually I ran out a few days ago and I needed it!)

And so grateful for my girl who gifts in a way I so appreciate. (I can't figure out how to rotate these.)

Picture of us in Christmas jammies.

Playing baseball.

Doing her hair.

She as been talking about her gift for many days.  Couldn't hardly keep it to herself when she got home from school Friday.  What a sweetie!

Fishing With Dad

The boys have done nothing but work with James on the house on Saturdays for a LOONNNGG time.  Free fishing day was a much needed relief for him and the boys--even if there were thousands of feet of trenches to fill.

Hyrum's trophy in the last few minutes.

Was so proud of boys.  James stayed at the house to work and they came home and finished cleaning them all by themselves.  I BBQed them and Talmage and Bryant ate their whole fish clean.  Hyrum's was a little much for him.

Adopted Red Head

While Dax and Jen were on vacation we had a little red-head to love.  As you can see, she fit in nicely.  She melted my heart with "Yes, mama" "Ok, mama" "Coming, mama" "Night, night mama" and "Love you, Mama." However, when she saw her daddy, she wouldn't even give me a good-bye hug.

Birthdays

Mine:
Libby really was having more fun than it looks like.

Bryant's birthday landed on a Friday and he asked if he could have his 12th birthday party for this birthday so he could party with his Basin City Friends.  We arranged to use the pool at the egg farm and he and 7 of his friends had a blast.  I was so impressed with the boys and felt sad thinking Bryant has to leave such a good group of friends.  The only pictures I have are videos.  Bryant got spoiled.

Pitcher

Top of the fifth, bases loaded, two outs, up by two, pitcher walks batter, run scores.  Bryant is sent to the pitcher's mound and strikes out the batter---inning over!   The first two runs our team scored were both Bryant, the second including a hotbox between third and home.  He went on to strike out two batters in the next inning and they beat a team they had previously lost to.  Plus, is was a beautiful, warm, evening.  Just what I needed after digging more trenches today.
