Spring Break

We spent Spring Break at home this year, working in the yard, mapping out the Bed and Breakfast, watching movies.  Kids played a lot of school in the attic.  Friday found me and the little guys at Kyree's baptism in Moses Lakes.

James, Talmage and Bryant stayed home to attend at special 8 stake fireside with Brother Douglas Holmes of the General YMs Presidency.

Track

Talmage is doing the pole vault, high jump, the 400 and the 4x400.
Bryant is doing the mile and the pole vault.
Talmage has been gone for VERY long Saturdays.  I'm really grateful that even though they don't always perform as well as they want, they continue to try and do their best.  They are growing big and strong.

Speaking of little track stars, Rex and Lyle took their Fun Run at school very seriously.  The extended family was very good to sponsor them and they practiced running laps in the yard every day after school.  On the day of the Fun Run they tied for the most laps in their class.

Mom turns 42

I hadn't been able to play basketball due to scheduling conflicts so I was excited to get to play on my birthday, a milestone of sorts.  Before I headed out the door, I saw flames just down the hill.

Camilla texted to tell me the garbage in the truck had caught fire and he had to dump in the street.

Sariah's handlettering and Lizza's cake made the day.  James asked me if I wanted to go out to dinner and at first I thought that sounded great, but then I decided to have James bring home pizza and we played CLUE as a family and ate pizza.  It was perfect.  James pointed out how each personality of our kids emerge when we are playing CLUE,

March Madness

These two really got into March Madness this year.

I loved watching them watch.

Just seconds before Rex was nearly in tears watching Houston overtake Michigan.  This is after Jordon Tool hit his buzzer 3-pointer to win give Michigan the 1 point win.

What are the chances?  Twins picking the two teams to make it to the National Championship.  We went out to Gp and Gm's to watch the Monday evening of Spring Break.  Before the game even started I knew who the loser would be--me!  Regardless of who won, I would  be the "loser" with one sad boy.  Maybe is was a good thing that it wasn't a close game, Rex had time to warm up to the idea of Michigan losing.  Perhaps the pain was eased with Gp.'s new hot tub!
