High Adventure, Girl's Camp, and Laryn and Ronnie Visit

As soon as school got out, Talmage and Sariah headed off to the Stake High Adventure.  Talmage got to go as a counselor.

Sariah's cabin at the High Adventure at Ensign.  Sariah chose to go ziplining and had a blast.  Talmage went white water rafting and got a bit sunburned but enjoyed it.

On their last morning, they got to do a zoom call with Elder Bednar--pretty amazing!

In the meantime, Grandpa had a cancerous spot removed from beside his nose and walked away with quite the mark.

Laryn and Ronnie came to share their love and sunshine at our house for two weeks.  Ronnie warmed up to the little boys and especially Hyrum fastest.

Laryn is so much help, everything from fixing meals, to helping Hyrum with the neighbor's dog, to painting the downstairs bathrooms.

Talmage continues to work on his car a little bit here and there as can be done.  This week he is getting it ready to deliver to the guy who will cut and weld the frame.

Sariah came home from Stake High Adventure for a few days and turned around and went back to Girl's Camp.  The open-ended A frames were what was reserved so she took a tent.  She doesn't love camping but has come a long way since her first year at camp and being away from home.  Sister Clyde took them on a pretty strenuous hike and she did great.

Hyrum is also taking care of Olsen's dog several times a day while they are gone.  He's a bit handicap with his cast and a lively dog so Laryn and James have been helping him walk him.  The nice thing about Olsens being gone is that we have been able to go swimming at their place several afternoons.

Hyrum's First Broken Bone

Thanks to James, a spot in the garden got cleaned out to put in the tomatoes and peppers that had been in their pony pots for way too long.  For Family Home Evening we finished getting it cleaned up and the plants in.  Talmage was cat whispering at the end.

Sariah got to go to Reichert's Murder Mystery Birthday Party.  She had a lot of fun!

He role was the Homecoming Queen.

After a crazy series of phone calls, we found out that Hyrum's x-rays actually did show a fracture after we were told Tuesday that they didn't.

By Wednesday, he was looking like this.

On Thursday, when I was only partly with it on the couch after my endoscopy, James did 5 batches of strawberry jam.  That morning, they had picked them at the Hoyle's.

Saturday, James helped the boys plant the pumpkins.

Talmage made a trip down to Utah to hit a couple weddings and visit family and some mission friends.  Big solo trip!
