Egg without a Shell

There has got to be a good object lesson in this somewhere.
James brought this shell-less egg in last night.  He has known that some are laid this way, but he never finds them intact.

Pretty crazy.
Speaking of crazy, this is James with his plastic bag and chisel going at the hundreds of dandelions in the back yard, one-by-one.

End of Track

Friday was the finals for JV.  Bryant cleared his first height in a meet at 7'.  Talmage tied his PR of the night before 9'6".  It's hard to get good snapshots.

That same evening was Grandma Melba's 93rd birthday party.  I'm pictured here with Lamar Palmar and his wife JoAnn.  Lamar worked for Grandpa Lyle the spring before he went on his mission in 1961.  I met him through Cub Scouts and enjoy his friendship.  I invited him out for a stroll down memory lane.  It was fun for him and his wife to meet the rest of the family after all these years.

Super Hero Day

Bruce and Peter off to school to save the day.

Out of the 27 cumulative years of my kids in elementary school, I made a placement request to the Principal for the first time.  I requested a teacher, and that these two remain in the same class.  They are good for each other and to each other (except last night when they were both really tired).

Time Out For Women

Brielle flew up from Dallas and we were all (except for Blaire in Hawaii) able to go to TOFW.  Lizza is taking the picture.  It was really great.  The only problem--not enough time to just be together, and not enough time...period.

Four days late, Hyrum found Brielle's footie in his bed.

This is where I found him after an extensive search that night.  Girls have cooties!!

Miracles in the Spring

The sights around here during the last month have been miraculously beautiful.
Apple Blossoms

Cherry Blossoms

Bees in the strawberries.

A perfect concord boutoniere.

Concord leaves tipped pink.

And kids at the neighbors.

First Prom

Came home early from Time Out For Women to find this--Talmage and Sariah gettin the "green bean" cleaned up for Prom.  Talmage and Israel were riding with Zayne and his date for the majority of the time, but Talmage knew he would need to get Israel home before the after party was over.

Handsome...with the princess.

Israel and Talmage.  (And an unpictured mom so grateful to a YW for dressing modestly!)

The group at Callaways, an over-the-top dinner!

Bryant Turns 15

Sure impressed with this young man who turned 15.  He's still a boy at heart but he's impressed me over and over again with his good heart and his sincere desires.
Mud Pie for this boy this year.
We love you Bryant!!
