Taylor Family Reunion at Lincoln City, OR

At McD's for dinner, and following tradition, pulled into destination about 10pm.

First site of the beach and ocean:

Day TWO:
Lyle, Talmage, and Rex early morning beach combing.

These guys loved it.  A week later, Rex is still saying "beach, beach, beach."

Our attempts at some family pictures, hope the photographer's turned out better.

Hyrum wanted a picture with his mom---what a sweetie.

Day THREE:
Not wanting to do the whole sand-washing routine twice in one day,
all the cousins met up and played one morning at an amazing park.

A moment of twin team work.

Lyle flying a kite.

Sariah and Hyrum especially wanted to hot tub.

This arcade was downstairs in the beach house being used almost constantly.
By the time we were cleaning up, the big kids must have finally been tired of it.
Rex and Lyle had picked up on what they were supposed to do---hit buttons and cheer really loud.

Ribbit

Grandpa caught "a big one".

Sariah and her prince.

 Releasing it at Salisbury's pond.

Riding horses at Aunt Brenda's.  She is so good to let us come.
 Talmage warming up the pony.

Sariah riding off into the sunset.
(Got on the bigger horse after the Shetland bucked her off.)

I think this may have been Hyrum's first horse ride.  He's giving his horse a pat.

Bye to Great Grandma

Great Grandma Webb went back to Arizona.  We will be grateful for our memories reading bedtime stories with her and Sariah helping me give her a pedicure.

On Saturday, James, Talmage, Bryant and I spent 11 hours in our reflector oven basement leveling the floor.  It was at least 100 degrees down inside and we were moving concrete chunks and dirt the whole time and the boys were tuckered out.  They did a pretty good job for being so long and hard though.  Tomorrow morning they pour the floor!  Tuesday, they start the framing.

Bryant cooked and "well-done".

Happy Anniversary

The night before we were to get an early start on the road, this popped up.
Following tradition, the late, but surprise anniversary dinner, put on by the kids.
So glad I took the time to enjoy it despite the long to-do list.

Talmage make the menu, complete with "fried dik dik legs", "Okapi Steak", and amuna-ra (fried beetles).   (They wanted me to choose the Little Ceasar's pizza and fresh raspberry lemonade since that's really all they had.)

Serenaded with "Beauty and the Beast"

LOVED IT!
