Last Week of School

Hyrum at his AR party.  Jessica Perkins spared no lengths to decorate and throw a great Cowboy Party.

End of Year Treat for these two cowboys.
(Grandma in the background--she's been a lot of help lately.)
I didn't take a picture, but we met up with Spechts at Stock's Pool on the afternoon of the last day of school to celebrate.

Memorial Day

We spent several hours cleaning out the garage.  Sariah was so much help and asked if we could go to the beach.

The road to our beach is now Closed!! So sad.
On Memorial Day, Talmage, Sariah, Hyrum, Hayden and I set off for a quiet afternoon at the beach.  When we got to the blockade, we parked and walked the rest of the way--which was quite a ways.  Once we got there, it was pack with boats and people, loud music, drinking, smoking and not much clothing.  So, so sad.  Talmage and Sariah turned right around and walked home.  I told Hyrum and Hayden I'd stay for a bit so they could play.

What a great sight.

Soon to be Summer

Country View Cemetery Clean-up

Not a lot for the little guys to do anymore.  Mostly just leveling graves.

James took our rooster for a ride.  About a week later we saw him in the neighbor's pasture.  With all the foxes, skunks, coyotes, and dogs around we couldn't believe it.  Almost two weeks later, he was at our chicken coop one Saturday morning!  James took him for a longer ride.

Really so, so blessed to live in such a beautiful place and all its "bloom."

Went down to the bus stop one afternoon to walk home with the kids.  Warm summer afternoon, sauntering along.  One of the beauties of childhood.

Baptism

On May 25th, Rex and Lyle were baptized at the Columbia Basin Building.  Talmage or Bryant could have performed the baptisms, but James wasn't going to give up such a privilege--baptizing 2 of his boys on the same day!  Talmage and Bryant were the witnesses.  Rex took two tries to be completely immersed.  They chose Uncle Vard and Uncle Cole to be the speakers.  Grandma led the music, Sister Freeman played the piano.  Aunt Laryn and Aunt Haley gave prayers.  All the cousins sang, "Peace in Christ."  It was almost a full chapel with family and friends.
