Basketball Saturdays

Our Saturdays right now are full of basketball.  We go to Sariah's game at Stevens Middle School followed by Rex and Lyle's game at City Hall.  It's actually a lot of fun.

Rex and Lyle facing off before their "quarter" (4 minutes running time) starts.

Rex on defense.

Sariah on defense.

Sariah has hussle and aggressiveness.  (Makes me so happy!)

Sometimes we have a bit of time to kill between games.  We pulled up to the park by City Hall and got a kick out of this sign.

Hyrum's Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet was this last week.  We didn't get a picture of him looking so sharp as he carried the American flag for the flag ceremony.  Everybody is pretty excited about this substitute for the Pinewood Derby though.

8+ years after James taught Ben Gentry in our Gospel Principles class, yesterday was one happy day!  Ben and Sharon had twins the same summer we did.  Ben was baptized a year ago.  From that class, many planted seeds have bloomed: Ben Gentry, Travis Thorn, Rocky Hammer, and Dave Gropper all of whom have been baptized and gone through the temple.  Ron Wright, Vicki Willie, Jodie Britton, and Pat Green's husband have all been baptized, and Lori Garcia and Dennis Hammer were reactivated.  It was something special to be in that class and listen to James teach the basic doctrines of the gospel to hungry hearts and minds.

It made up for our flooded basement this week.  Bummer.
