Smoked In

Power was out at Grandpa's during the wind storm but we decided to have faith and head out for the BYU game anyway.  The boys were so excited--BYU beat Navy 55-3.  Power came on in the 2nd quarter.

Kids started playing 4-square this week.  Perfect cuts in the concrete for 4-square.

Slowly but surely.  Rex and Lyle both spent some time upstairs yesterday with James.  He showed them how to mud and tape and and they were great help.

What's the fastest way to get dinner chores done?  Backyard football at the Adamson's.  Before the smoke came in heavy on Friday, there were some beautiful sunset evenings for football.  One night there were 10 neighborhood boys playing.  Super fun!

Sariah decorated for fall.  It feels so festive!

A real picture without filters in Oregon.

Started on string art this week in Glory Academy.  It was a hit!

The wind storm did not help brush fires in Basin City.  This was Mrs. Roberts' home, my first grade teacher.  It was still smoking on Wednesday when I took Rex and Lyle to BC to pick peaches.

Sariah at school.  Can you tell?

Rex chose a perfect evening (before the smoke) for a hotdog roast.

Bryant's youth activity on Wednesday--mud ultimate frisbee.

Sariah helping the Bergies make soap.  Afterwards they took us for a ride in the Bergy bus.

Yesterday, September 12, 2020.  "Smoked in" instead of "Smoked out."

Rex releasing a butterfly as he jumped into the pool.

Lyle releasing his butterfly in mid-air.
They didn't last long in the cold, dirty pool (after the windstorm) but they chased little yellow butterflies for a long time--until Lyle got stung by a bee.
