Home MTC, Mexico City MTC, and Spring Break

Bryant started Home MTC bright and early on March 14th.  Some days he barely had time to eat, they definitely kept him busy.  We loved to hear what he was learning and about his companion and district.

On March 20th, Talmage reported and Bryant spoke before leaving in our sacrament meeting.  We had a lot of family come to support and to celebrate.

It was an early morning on March 29th.

A last good-bye to Payson

A few tears, but Talmage said not as many as when he left.

Sister Inglima's daughter was on the same flight and caught this picture on the other side of security after he had hit his head on the steel table and had his wallet knife confiscated.  Glad he was still smiling.

Wow what an eventful day! Things started off with me accidentally getting caught with a knife in TSA, when i saw my stuff shunted off to one side my first thought was, "ah, my weapons have followed me".  Turned out I forgot to confiscate my "wallet knife". I told them they could keep it or throw it away, whatever. But before that I cracked my head on the steel table as i bent down to untie my shoes. Im grateful for my mild concussion because the rest of the day has passed away blissfully and ethereally. I ended up on the same flight as the children of my good friends marlene and leonard inglima, thay was pretty cool. I wanted to talk to the guy i sat next to on the flight, he only spoke spanish but was either asleep or looking away, so i just smiled at him. I met my district for about 15 min in the SLC airport then we got called out for being loud and not wearing masks. Lo siento. Then elder gwilliam and i got to sit next to each other and play word games and talk to this sweet sister named maria in spanish for a while. Now were going to get dinner! Love yall, forward this email to everyone who wants it!

Posted the Guatemala flag when we got home from the airport that day and let if fly for a week.

Bryant got to be present in the Mexico City MTC when a temple was announced for that location.  After conference, the mission president took all the missionaries to the site and they knelt in a prayer of gratitude and took this picture.

Laryn sent Sariah some make-up for her to practice for Junior Miss.

Monday of Spring Break was so windy we hardly went outside.  We tackled the garden on Tuesday and James conquered the blackberries.

The boys went to Yakima for a few cousin days and Sariah helped us get the water started and the sprinklers cleaned up.

This was after the initial blow, but there was a lot of water!

Soaked through!  Glad it was sunny.

On Friday, we finally got to talk to Bryant.  He looked and sounded good and said he was surviving a spider bite.  (That night I had two crazy dreams about spiders.)

Saturday, we kept our tradition of a family service project on Spring Break and helped Geraldine Merrill out in her yard.  It was windy but we cleaned out her small garden and James pruned her grapes.  It looks a lot better.

The kids binge watched Alex Ryder this week.  They finished the last episode last night.
