From the mouth of my 12-year-old boy just minutes ago,
"Mom, I'm so glad you are always here to give me a hug."
Because whether or not I chose to stay home as a Mom, I'd still have to take a child to the ENT when he puts a bead in his ear.
Choosing to stay home as a mother, is choosing to be home when the joyous moments occur.
