Quilting for Makaley

This was kind of a funny picture.  Two boys who look naked behind the desk.

This is as much as Bryant got to wear his track warm-ups this year.  So sad.

The kids borrowed Freeman's ripstick for a couple days and spent a lot of time working on the technique.

Caught them reading on the tramp one afternoon.  "Oh what do you do in the summertime?"

Or on the picnic table.

Kyree came and spent 3 days making a quilt for Makaley for graduation.  I was amazed how fast it went!

Had to take a break and go to OJH to get Sariah's prizes and take a "last day of school" photo.

We had a zoom "cooking class" for young women's activity.  I thought it went great--a lot of fun.

Tying the quilt at Grandma's one afternoon.  We brought it home and put the binding on it that night.  The girls had it completely clipped by the next morning.  We took it to the Basin City Laundromat and delivered it to Makaley just before she left for graduation.  I think they were pleased with her reaction.  That night we sat on the CHS fields and watched fireworks.  It was a lot of fun.

We really enjoyed our peony bouquets this year.

Rex is often the first one to jump on his chores.  He went to town on the floor...

and it was his turn to mow the lawn.

Grandpa and Grandma joined us for fast and testimony meeting on Sunday.

The yard is sure pretty now.

Talmage got transferred to Cedar City this week.
This is from Sister Robinson who has been taking care of Talmage and the elders in his district for the last few months:
This young man just had his hair cut before they leave Salina. Thanks so much for sharing him with us.  We are truly grateful to have had him in our home and family. I will go to cedar and take him to lunch.  We are sad to see him leave it’s hard but know he’s doing the lords work. We will keep in touch.   Thanks again for sharing this awesome young man.
