We were out to Grandpa and Grandma's as soon as we could the day after we got home. The kids played on the waterslide, but it wasn't enough time.
The next day we met up for an afternoon at Grandma Gibbon's pool. Got a little sunburned myself.
This morning, we went with friends down to the Columbia River banks. HOT! The kids loved it though, and I'm sure we'll go back soon.
It's probably a good thing that we don't live this party life all year round, but the unstructured summer just seems to be appropriate for childhood.
P.S. Our pumpkin patch is as healthy and clean (weeded) as it has ever been, but not many pumpkins. Grandpa thinks there aren't enough bees to pollinate the blooms since so many orchards have been ripped out. So, does that mean that we are now going to have to take up beekeeping?
