Valentine's Day 2012

Another holiday made wonderful because of our little ones.

Talmage made a valentine box to look like an ipod.

"Be MiValentine"---pretty creative.

Bryant shared his valentine candy like I've never known him to share candy before. (He woke up about 3am and never really went back to sleep.)

Sariah was the only one in her class to have a valentine box---she wanted to make one so badly despite the fact that her class had already decorated bags. For the first time this year I was able to be in her classroom and see her interact with the girls whose names I hear often. (Thanks to Mom and Dad who stopped by to babysit on their way home from Dad being discharged from the hospital.)

Lizza brought Hyrum his very own valentine sucker (since all the big kids would be coming home with gobs of candy.)

Rex and Lyle decided to teeth on Valentine's Day and for the first time were not happy unless they were being held.

Our Fancy Valentine's Dinner Tradition continues:
(Thanks to Little Ceasars. I took the cheese out to thaw to make homemade pizza, but it just wasn't going to happen today.)

James, Sariah, and Hyrum set the table with our best dishes, flower petals, and valentine luminaria bags.

(Special guest this year: Bobo the monkey, Bryant's class's mascot visiting our home this week.)

Lyle slept through the main course, so I woke him up for dessert (so he would go to sleep at bedtime.) Rex was asleep by dessert time.

When we clinked our stemware during our toast to our family I couldn't help but think, "this is it, this is what it's all about."
