Actually October 2015
With such a late start to school, it wasn't long before it was time to harvest pumpkins.
It was the first year ever we supplied ourselves the entire selling season. We were truly blessed. We decided not to sell on General Conference weekend and instead listened to the prophet and apostles. One Saturday was cold, but the others were very pleasant. We even got sunburned one Saturday. Rex loved to go sell pumpkins, and was the only one who went every week. Lyle would have liked to but he was in the middle of several months of pollakiuria. Hyrum and Sariah learned how to correctly count back change. It was good to see old friends who come to support us every year. This year we divided the profits differently. Each child had a time card and the total amount of money was divided by the total number of hours worked and then each child was paid per hour. It was an eye opener for some.
Harvest time also means apple juice! Lucky to get such a gorgeous October day.
