First Time on an Airplane

For all of these kids, Friday, July 10th was their first experience on an airplane.  (Bryant was a passenger as a baby, but he doens't remember it.)  There was a high level of anticipation.  We left our house around 1 pm to fly out of Spokane.  We got all of our stuff into two suitcases to minimize costs.

On the way, Bryant got caught up on how to take out a hijacker.

And we talked to Talmage who we were missing very much.

Mask up, here we go!

When we went through security, the TSA representative got a little chuckle out of the handfuls of snacks Lyle had packed.

Getting ready for take-off.

There were some audible giggles and big eyes.

We had about 3 hours to kill in the Denver airport in the middle of the night.  It was nearly deserted so after we read scriptures, several of us crashed.

Bryant got a picture of the sunrise out his window as we came into Tampa, Florida.  He and James went to get the rental van and had a 10 mile detour out to St. Petersburg, Florida over a bridge with no exits.

We got introduced to some crazy weather really fast.

Saturday afternoon, we drove the 6 hours from Tampa to Pensacola.  On the way, the kids found a favorite spot, the Busy Bee Stop.  Nicest bathrooms we saw on the whole on the trip.
